Everythink is Pink

You know those mornings? It's early, there is no traffic, a few people are out walking their dogs, the air is crisp - well, as crisp as it can be on a cool Florida morning. You make the bank, bagel, coffee, Blockbuster return run. Everyone is polite, there are interesting characters around, eavesdropping turns out to be pleasant, not horrifying.

I had that morning. Maybe I'm being a bit rose-coloured glasses about the whole thing, but life is good. I'll enjoy this moment for now because I'm sure there is some Anna Nicole-like train wreck headed straight for me and my view of the world will go back to normal.

I liked this; thanks. It's nice to read a "this-was-my-day" and not have it be a rant.

It was very pleasant. But I think I might rant later this week. My Monday started out badly, and the rest of the day is turning out to be a bit worse...more on that later.

I'm on a visit from H's random ramblings, just thought I'd check stuff out.

This is one of my favorite scenes that you have described. We had one or two of these here in Iowa before the weather decided to turn frigid again, so enjoy them for all of us in the Midwest! And I'll definitely be back to check things out! :)

Thanks for coming by Flenker. I pine for that kind of day again...I am in the process of collecting disasters from the week (and yes, it's ony Tuesday) which I will be posting on Friday under the heading Black is Back.

I want my baby back
Gray is gray
[Something] went away
Oh Ooooh,
What can I do?
'Cause I-I-I-I-I...

Did that from memory. Funny what the brain retains, ain't it?

The [Something] is "Since my"

I am always amazed at the things (particularly lyrics) that get shelved in our minds. You can all of a sudden sing the words to a song you haven't heard in fifteen years, but there it all is.
